Important Dates

• Commencement of Online Application: April 30, 2026.
• Closing Date for Application: May 20, 2026 (up to 3:00 PM).
• Edit Window: May 22 to May 28, 2026.
• Expected Prelims Exam Date: June 14, 2026.
• Admit Card Release: Expected in June 2026.

Age Limit Details

• Age Limit (varies by post):
• Group A & C: 21 – 36 years.
• Group B (Police): 20 – 36 years.
• Group D: 21 – 39 years.
• Age Relaxation (WB Domicile only):
• SC/ST: 5 years.
• OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years.
• PwBD: Up to 45 years.

Selection Process

• Preliminary Examination: Objective-type screening test.
• Main Examination: Conventional/descriptive written exam.
• Personality Test: Interview for final selection.

Application Fees

• General / OBC (West Bengal): ₹160 + applicable service charges.
• SC / ST (West Bengal only): Exempted (No Fee).
• PwBD (40% and above disability): Exempted (No Fee).
• SC / ST candidates of other states: Must pay the full fee of ₹160.
• General / OBC / EWS: ₹210 + applicable service charges.
• SC / ST / PwD (West Bengal only): Exempted (No Fee).
• SC / ST / PwD of other states: Must pay the full fee of ₹210.

• Educational Qualification: A Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university is mandatory for most posts.
• Language Proficiency: Ability to read, write, and speak in Bengali is generally required, except for candidates whose mother tongue is Nepali.
