- Trade Apprentice – Attendant Operator (Chemical Plant) & Trade Apprentice (Boiler): B.Sc (Maths, Physics, Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry) with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD)
- Technician Apprentice – Chemical: Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Petrochemical Engineering, Chemical Technology, or Refinery and Petrochemical Engineering with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD)
- Technician Apprentice – Mechanical: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD)
- Technician Apprentice – Instrumentation: Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering, Instrumentation & Electronics, Instrumentation & Control Engineering, or Applied Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD)
- Experience Requirement: No prior apprenticeship in the same trade; minimum 1 year gap if previous apprenticeship in different trade
- Job Experience: For Technician Apprentice posts, no job experience of 1 year or more after obtaining qualification
